I am a Professor and Chair of the Section of Visual Computing and Interactive Media at Texas A&M University, which encompasses the joint sections of Visual Computing and Computational Media, as well as Technical Art and Interactive Media , within the School of Performance, Visualization, and Fine Arts. I am an adjunct faculty member (courtesy appointment) of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. I am also affiliated with Aggie Computer Graphics Group . I got my B.S. degree in Computer Science in 2003 at University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) with a major in Computer Science, and obtained my M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science from State University of New York at Stony Brook in 2005 and 2008. Before I joined Texas A&M University, I was a faculty member at School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Louisiana State University (from 2008 to 2022).
