My Qualifications
<- Technical Skills
I have a diverse skill set, & would bring proficiency in several programming languages, including C++, C, Java, & Python, to any team. My skills extend to GUI development & graphics, using tools like JavaFX, HTML, CSS, & OpenGL. Additionally, I also have experience in lower-level programming like Assembly & Scheme. In the area of working with code, I also have experience in using Git, debugging with GDB, & working in integrated development environments such as VS Code, Visual Studio, Eclipse, Anaconda, & IntelliJ. In addition, I know how to structure documents using LaTeX, and I can develop visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, XD, and InDesign.
<- Interest Areas
My main interests within the field of computer science include game development, full-stack web development, human-computer interaction, & computer graphics. I'm a creative at heart, growing up taking part in art competitions & filling up craft closets, so it's no surprise to those that know me that my interest areas all include some sort of artistic flair. Game development specifically holds a special place in my heart, as I started really bonding with my Dad when he introduced me to Pokémon Yellow on the Game Boy at age 4. Since then, I've played at least one version of every Pokémon main-series game released, & have grown my interest in games by building my own PC & getting obsessed with games on all sorts of platforms. But braving the gaming community as a woman can be difficult, & I want to help change the industry to be a more inclusive place.
