My Service
Some of my friends & I made blankets to donate to the local Children's Hospital. We ended up with six blankets total, & had so much fun finding the materials & making them.
I volunteered with my sorority to clear out invasive bamboo for a Professor at A&M. We spent a very long day cutting & dragging bamboo out of the environment, but knowing that we were also making a difference to the local wildlife kept us invigorated the whole time!
A group of friends got together to make cards for the local Children's Hospital. We made around four dozen cards to donate, with uplifting messages & colorful designs so that the kids could hang them up!
I participate in Big Event every year to help the local BCS community & give back! This particular year, I helped a single mom clear out her front garden.
STEMfest is put on by the Girl Scouts of North Texas at Texas A&M, & I volunteer at a booth every spring. The year pictured, I designed the booth infographics, handouts, & helped make 50+ oobleck stress balls while teaching about non-newtonian fluids.
