Areas of Interest
There are many fascinating areas of computer science that I would love to explore more in depth. At the moment, I am very intrigued by software engineering and robotics. While these are two very different fields, they each contain components of computer science that I very much enjoy. For example, I love planning, implementing, and testing software for my own personal projects. However, I would also like to get a more in depth view of robotics and what kind of career paths there are for the field. Since I am early on in my program, I will definitely learn more about the many sectors of computer science.
Technical Skills
I am a natural problem solver and have a drive for learning. I like to take my time to lay out a problem to see the whole picture rather than rushing into things. The programming languages I have experience with are C, C++, Java, Python, HTML, Scheme, CSS, and Assembly. Additionally, I have taken many relevant classes in the computer science program including Data Structures and Algorithms, Introduction to Computer Systems, Programming Studio, Programming Languages, Computer Organization, and Analysis of Algorithms. These courses have very well prepared me to go into my junior year at Texas A&M University and for any jobs ahead!
